FILE NOT FOUND 

I bought a home and was looking for a simple solution to turn my lights and entertainment system off when not in use. There were buzzwords like Zigbee, ZWave, WiFi and a lot of questions around what was a good technology. A lot of fragmented solutions but nothing that I would just buy for my home.

Proto 1

Our first prototype was a RaspberryPI based system. It worked very well and it allowed us to come up with our backend system and APIs.  We knew that we have a product but didn't how to make a switch. Besides the cost of our system was over $100 a piece.

We started speaking to additional companies in the same space and shared some code, and hardware. "SONOFF" was a good opensource hardware which allowed us to learn about switch design. It also showed us the practical issues we would face in deployments. 

JAN 2017

Proto 3

We had a receptacle design and we were trying to see how to install it. Upon trying it practically, we found that our design needed a lot of modifications. It was not ready for field installations.

Field Trials

Out of the several trials we did, we got the best opporunity in Patna, India, Bihar. The installations gave us wealth of information about doing a fully retro-fit install in multiple homes and commerical applications. Field trials in India also showed us how to have our design features work with low latency, without internet connectivity. 

APR 2018

We have a switch and an APP

After a series of failed starts and family engagements, we finally found a supplier who could manufacture a smart switch.  
SMARTDOMUS 1.0.1 our app was built, ready to be released to the app store.

SMARTDOMUS LIMITED TRIALS

We deciced to open for trials in US, and in India. 
The response is overwhelming.
